Still very humid, definitely can’t be out in the hangar more than an hour, and I’ll blame the heat on me making my first (known) mistake. I had decided that in homage to the 750 rudder build I would hand rivet everything so I eagerly got started down the side of the spar. After about 10 rivets I realised I can’t rivet there as that’s where the skins will attach. Oops. But on the plus side I got re learn how to remove rivets, and they fortunately came out pretty easily.
So first I riveted the rib flanges to the spar and then the hinge brackets, followed up by the front (or is it the back?) of the spar to the doublers.
and now the whole skeleton is riveted (except for the bent strip which will wait for confirmation it is on the right way).
I have a few day off this week so will move on to the skins in a couple of days, I’m hoping it will be less humid by then.
